Lawyer delves into interactive TV

Personal Injury attorney David K. Kremin is taking everyday legal issues to the airwaves with his new public-access show "Common Law."

"I thought it would be a good avenue to give different perspectives to the public about lawyers," Kremin said of the 30-minute show.

Sponsored by the Legal Education Foundation, "Common Law" was broadcasted on Mondays at 7:00 p.m. on Channel 21 in Chicago.

Kremin said he is hopeful the show will fill a niche left by programs that either focus on high-profile cases or put a comical spin on the law.

"No one that I've seen talks about the everyday cases," said Kremin, of David K. Kremin & Associates P.C.

Kremin's first show Oct. 6 featured a personal injury attorney who stated:

"It's a great opportunity to put issues out before the general public and give them a chance to comment. People are reassured by hearing other people talk about issues they've had problems with. Each case involves something real that happens to real people."

"Interactive TV is something here to stay and will become more and more popular," he said.

It was aired every Monday which featured a lawyer, Judge, or political figure.
